History of the Colavene brand

The Colavene brand is now synonymous with high quality made in Italy, a brand capable of combining Italian aesthetics with technological innovation, offering a range of solutions to furnish the bathroom and kitchen in an elegant and functional way. Colavene products range from modern bathtubs to shower cabins, from sinks to taps, from bathroom furniture to kitchen components. All products are made with high quality materials and carefully finished to ensure long life.

The history of Colavene starts from 1968, the year that marks the revolution in Made in Italy bathroom design. Colavene was born in Civita Castellana in the province of Viterbo, starting from an idea by Giovanni Colamedici, and since then it has been a leader in the world of sanitary ceramics.

It is precisely to him that we owe the invention of laundry furniture, following the first modern kitchens. These intuitions and ideas come directly from Venezuela, the place where Colamedici had moved. He worked in a furniture company that produced elements for modular kitchens, from here he was inspired by the creation of furniture for the bathroom and consequently for the laundry.

After this experience and being inspired by the Venezuelan furniture art, he returned to Italy and created his first of six companies: Colavene, a mix between his Italian origins (Cola) and the imprint of the new Venezuelan experience (Vene). From here Colavene was born, the Made in Italy brand with Venezuelan roots.

Elements such as under-sink but also sinks, drying racks, storage units have since then been the specialty of Colavene, which quickly conquered the plumbing and home furnishings market.

Among Colavene's most innovative and renowned products there is certainly the Domestica line, consisting of floor-standing or wall-mounted furniture for laundries. Innovative line, very useful and very versatile, adaptable both to laundry spaces but also to small closets or kitchens where you want to integrate a space dedicated to laundry.

It's impossible not to mention the Tino&Tina wash basins, free-standing or suspended wash basins characterized by a unique design. The Tino without hole and Tina without hole models are available in 13 colours: white, matt white, beige, brown, matt black, green, matt grey, matt light blue, dark brown, burgundy, aqua green, petrol green and matt pink.

If the entire Colavene line seems to respond to the word "functionality", there is a line that focuses more on design and that is Skyland. A line with an innovative and particular design, square and simple shapes which, when well combined, give great elegance to the bathroom at home.

Colavene is living proof of an entirely Made in Italy success that sees Giovanni Colamedici's passion as a historic one that is still passed down to his children and grandchildren. The success is due to the very careful attention to the choice of materials and the strong attention to the customer's needs.

In fact, we remember that, with the advent of the third entrepreneurial generation, Colavene products were certified ISO90052/94 before any other company in the sector.
